Its The Weekends!
November 17, 2007
Finally, the concert was over. Phew. What a relief.! Now, i have more time to do my projects and other stuff, including slacking. The concert was quite disappointing for me. I thought it was going to be full house, with the auditorium overflowing with people. In the end, there were still empty seats in the auditorium. This would not have happen if we were given more tickets. Cehh! Moving on, I was lucky I didnt not screw up any of the pieces and make any obvious mistakes. Comic Relief piece was very fun to perform. I was rilli enjoying myself up on stage dancing. Lol! For me, the part I love most about the concert was when we played Phantom Of The Opera. Boy, was that piece a crazy piece. Those who did not attend and watch that piece, you’ll regret not watching it. LOL! Just kidding. But that piece was nice. I started the piece by first twirling my sticks. Kinda look cool. For me, my playing was not that important. The showmanship and the energy of the playing were more important. You can play really well double pedals and stuff, but if you are as still as a rock, then what’s the point? And ya, i threw my sticks up and caught it on time to play the next groove. Woohoo! At first, I was unsure whether I should throw my sticks or not. But i was motivated by my frens to throw it. Thanx guys! Good thing my sticks never dropped. If dropped, malu like siao. When the concert was coming to an end, we had a tribute piece which we played for our conductor, since it was his last time conducting the NYPSO. They showed him the pictures of him with the band on the projector screen while the band played the music. Some of the band members started to shed tears since it was an emotional moment at that point of time. After the piece had ended, the conductor was invited up to the stage, and he was crying. A very emotional man. It reminded me of the time when i cried too during my secondary school band farewell party when they played the slides of pictures with a sad music on top of it. Good times, good times. Anyway, when the concert ended, I was ecstatic.
2 more days to Crunch Time!

2 more days to Sinfonia. I cant wait to get that bloody concert over and done with and get my freakin’ life back. Itsbeen practice over practice for that concert. I dun care if i make mistakes on that concert. I dun care if the conductor gives me a freaking angry face. Its his last concert and after this, I’m no longer seeing him. SO WHO CARES?! if i make a mistake. I rather not make a mistake during rehearsals and make mistakes during the concert itself. That way, he cant scold me. Lol. Fortunately, there is no band practice today and the feeling was great. I get to enjoy the whole day and not worry about any scoldings from band and all the other band shits. Joining band for me is so bittersweet. On one hand, i regretted joining band cause in the beginning, I’ve told myself not to commit to anything so that I’ve got lots of time for myself to slack and talk about girls. Lol. On the other hand, I’m glad i joined band as i get to meet all the cool percussionists there and a percussion instructor with a great personality. I feel like leaving band so that i’ve got loads of time for myself. I don’t want my poly life to be like secondary school life where i dedicated most of my time in the band. But i’m afraid this decision will disappoint my percussion instructor, Dennis. After all, I’ve learnt a hella lot from him and I’ve seen the progress of myself becoming better. The question now is, “Should I leave the band this year?”
Waltz Love!

I love Waltz! If u thinking “waltz” as in the dance or the genre of song, well, you’re WRONG! Lol. I’m talking about the indie rock band Waltz Reprise. With the flawless vocals delivered by the frontwoman, Jenna Maranga, Waltz Reprise is quickly acheiving its name in the underground scene. Check out their vid below.
Gathering Luv!
November 11, 2007
Didnt think i would finally blog again after so many months of not blogging. Well here i am blogging since i gt nothing to do. Yesterday, we had a small usual gang gathering at seoul garden and boy, it was fun. Getting lost in marina square. Walking around in circles like lost lambs. But i enjoyed it. Crap as we walk. Lol. After what felt like hours walking around marina square, we finally found seoul garden! Good news for my stomach! And as usual, there were a lot of people since it was a Saturday evening. Once we got to our tables, the rampage for food and drinks started. Lol. When i was eating, i realized jon giving me the “dagger eyes” which pierced my heart like sharp knives. Arrgh! So painful!
After a few meals, i had to relax my stomach. That was when i saw THAT female waiter. Boy was she cute! Lol. I managed to catch a glimpse of her name tag, which was so “small”. Her name was Joleen. Perfect name for a perfect girl. Lol. And she doesnt look like the typical singaporean girl. More like from China. Its proven when i heard her conversation with another waiter. When we about to leave seoul garden, i gt the chance to bid her goodbye! Woo! Over-reacting rite?? Lol.
Anyways, we then went to esplanade rooftop for some phototaking session. That was when i realized that michelle is afraid of heights. Gosh, didnt know that man. Lol. After the rooftop, we went to a nearby bridge “cum” small expressway. (Notice the ” ” on the word cum. LOL!) And we took a few more photos. Photos after photos after photos. It was time for us to make our way back to the mrt station to go home.
I absolutely appreciate this gathering and thanx nadira for organising this gathering! Hope to see u guys again in the near future.!
