Busy Busy Me!!!

May 27, 2007

I’m so freaking busy right now because of the coming tests and projects. Haven even studied for one test yet. Still got my percussion ensemble training, which I love the most, compared to band. Now we are practising for our upcoming performance and so far i’ve been enjoying it. So fun la! And i can read my scores a little bit already. Isn’t that a great achievement?! All thanks to my percussion members and Dennis, my percussion ensemble instructor. Such a funny guy. His sense of humour far exceeds my expectations. Enough about percussion ensemble. Last Saturday, our class had a bbq at East Coast Park. I met up with all of the boys except for Joey and Aloy. And we took 966 from woodlands to east coast. It was damn long la! Took us about an hour or so to reach the park. In the bus, we discuss about certain issues about our class, which cannot be named. Hahax. Not that we are making fun of anyone. When we reach our bbq pit, to my disappointment, the food was not ready!! The fire was only starting, and being the muscle man that i am (just kidding, u know i got small muscles), i fanned the charcoal so hard that I only took 5 seconds to lit the fire from the heating charcoal. Cant believe right?! All my wrist excercises for drumming paid of cause instead of using my whole arm strength to fan, i only use my wrists which was much faster! Cool, eh?! And then, while waiting for the food, we played soccer, which i obviously suck at. But the sad thing was that i had to leave that place around 30 mins after i got that as i had percussion ensemble practice. That’s all!!!!!!!! Ridwan signing off……

Freaking Pissed!!!!!!

May 22, 2007

It has been a long time since i blogged. Had no time for blogging lah. So many stuff going on. Today was such a hated dat for me. So frustrated at myself for not being able to complete my statistics tutorial by myself. Always getting help from others. I feel so damn stupid man. Cant even do any questions correctly without the help of someone. Shit!. The worst part of the day was during band. I screwed a lot of pieces and felt i was letting the whole percussion section down man.Cant even keep tempo.Cant even read the notes properly. I mean i really feel useless man. Now i’m not good anything. Suck at studies. Suck at the drums.ARRGGH!! I’m just a useless boy who is not even clever to meet the standard of the cleverness in my class. I’m just a stupid bloody drummer who plays like shit, cant even keep tempo, dont have the feel for music, cant read notes. I feel so hopeless right now. This whole day has really ruined my mood for the whole week man..! Sucks! So much for a good drummer. Sucks to be in my position right now. I was reprimanded by the conductor because of my playing of drums. I’m so freaking pissed and disappointed at myself. Really feel like breaking my sticks and say goodbye to drums and stick to becoming the study type of person who has no life!!!….

In the blink of an eye and already one month has just passed by. It all seemed so fast. But this one month has been the best academic month since secondary school. The laughter and joy in class always reminded me of 4E4. Yes, 4E4. Really miss my secondary school class. From the funny antics of our classmates to getting scolded by teachers. From making so much noise in class and doing stupid things in class. I really miss this kind of stuff. The poly life will never be the same as our secondary school life. And my poly class will never be the same as 4E4. A class that was very bonded. We were, and i dare say, very academically and physically inclined. Our class had a lot of intellectual people, had soccer underdogs, had muscular people, had talented musicians like myself. Hahax. I dare say that our class was the creme of the crop. We won a lot of medals in the sports and arts festival. We had a lot of enthusiatic and daring people. 4E4 is just the best, to sum it all up and i’m very proud that i was a part of this meaningful class..Ridwan signing off…

In this world, there are 5 types of people that i hate most. I hate…

1. people who cycle on the road when there are vehicles behind. bicycles are meant for the pathway, not the road. Not only does it disrupts the movement of the vehicles behind, it is very difficult for the vehicles to overtake them. If i were the driver, i would knock them down man. So bloody inconsiderate these cyclists.

2. people who intentionally take the life of an innocent;causing death. these kind of people should be burn in hell man. Because of cases like these, i’m in favour of capital punishment. I feel that if these people are brave enough to cause death, hell yeah they should be brave enough to face death.

3. people who make fun of other people are different or has a disability. For those who like to make fun of these people, i hope u will get the same disability in the future if not more.

4. people who speak before they think and this ends up hurting peoples’ feelings.

5. people who are easily influenced by bad company. i mean for god sake, have a stand of your own and don’t always follow the crowd.

Finally….

May 9, 2007

Finally, i’m blooging again. It’s been a while as i had a lot of stuff to do like preparing for my tests and so i had not time. But now, two of my tests had just ended and i’m thrilled!! YES!! Anyway, today was a very exciting day for me as we had to wear very formal office wear since we are delivering a presentation in front of the whole class and the tutor. Some people look great in office wear. So manly and womanly. Yao Wei looks like a Macdonald manager.Hahax. He really does. Jermaine looks like a doctor at clinic, not at hospital.Hahax. Eugene had a striking yellow tie on. So striking lah! Some of the girls also look mature and hot.(not mentioning names in case people get the wrong idea and controversies may start.hahax). After we had all our tests, its the end of school for us.Yay! We had some girls took photos of us guys together in our formal attire. And we look super cool lah. Hahax. At around 145pm, i went for extra band practice to practise for our upcoming concert in NYP. Can’t wait for it. The percussion instruments in NYP are so much better than in Canberra man. The drumset is Tama and the bass pedal so light and easy to produce double kicks. Gt some splash cymbals. So nice. I stayed and practised until around 6 and den left for home with Eugene. That’s it for today. Blogging again tomorrow or the day after that. Ridwan signing off….

Today i went back to nyp for my band orienatation and it was great. At first, i was freakin’ nervous cuz i thought the seniors were going to be very serious and very “straight’ kind. But, all of that change wen i met the alumni for the percussion section, Jesper. He was so freakin’ funny and damn lame lor. A very nice guy. And the sectional leader, Afni, and some of the seniors, Danial and Wati, were all so damn friendly and nice. Very approachable. And being the drum enthusiast that i am, it’s easy for me to relate to them. First thing first, we went to the band room for some briefing and then it’s off to the atrium for some interaction games. All the games were fun except for a certain game which was kinda disgusting yet funny to watch. It’s where u have to but a Pocky snack stick until the uncoated area. Once the uncoated area is left, we have to put in our mouth and pass a rubber band to the person beside us  via the short uncoated Pocky stick without using our hands. It was disgusting. It was as though we are kissing each other like that because of the closeness of our mouths when passing the rubber band. After the games, we had our lunch where i got interact with some of the percussion members and the seniors. And i clique with 4 of the percussion members, 3 guys and a girl. All of them were very friendly and we had a lot in common. After lunch, we returned back to the band room and immediately started to play some pieces. I was like “What the hell?”. And some of their pieces were so much difficult than i thought, especially the snare drum. But in the end, i pull it off. In the end, i think overall i like this band cause i will have to challenge myself to improve and be like Jesper and the seniors who can sightread and play well. Hope to see them again this tuesday for band practice..Ridwan signing off…

Today was a crazy and laughable day for me. It was fun. But the highlight of the laughter was during our pom lecture when my friend decided to send my power ranger ringtone to his friend from another class. And his friend send to another friend and it goes on and on. And then, they started to on the power ranger ringtone in the lecture hall. So damn funny lah. one ringtone to another. But when it continue for quite a long time, it became pretty annoying. I can say that this is half of my fault for introducing this ringtone to my friend. And half was his fault for spreading it around. But it was kinda fuuny actually. Hahax. During the lecture itself, it was so damn boring. As expected from the pom lecture and the lecturer who always sidetracked and likes to talk about “pole dances”. What the hell rite?? Then the atmosphere was like so sleepy lah. My friends beside me was sleeping. I also slept quite a bit. Cannot tahan the bloody boring and tiring lecture. But what to do. And i thought i can learn a lot from lectures. Guess i was so freaking wrong. Hahax. After the lecture, Kelvin and i went to the cafe to do our IT project and the hotdog there was super nice. Hahax. After doing our project halfway, we met the duo, priscilla and yuan xiang. Their arrival did brighten the project atmosphere. They made us laugh and until our laptop jam and we couldnt continue our project. Actually, it wasnt their fault that the laptop jam. Hahax. After that, around 530 pm, Kelvin met up with his gf and the duo had to go for dragonboat. So all of us bid goodbye and went our separate ways…Ridwan signing off…
